Entwise Systems LLC is rooted in a family history of engineering know-how. Our founder was inspired to become an engineer by his grandfather, who invented machines touching on everything from paint mixing to Pringles potato chips. We intend to carry on that legacy with a mission to solve real-world problems through the skillful application of technology.
At Entwise, we know first-hand that rural electric grids are uniquely vulnerable to disruption by events like thunderstorms, blizzards, and wildfires. Once the power does go down, it can take days for crews to clear the roads and repair the damage. Rural communities have long relied on cooperation with their neighbors to recover from these events. Entwise seeks to build systems that embody that communal resilience.

In many rural communities, backup generators are as common as tractors. These generators can be coordinated in a system called a microgrid, where several power generation assets work together to keep the lights on in their neighborhood. Entwise is bringing a new approach to coordinating these assets—where a holler and a handshake brings systems together to help each other out.
